Dr Trudy Rebbeck
PhD MAppSc (Manip Physio), BAppSc(Physio)
Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Trudy is the practice principal of Bay Active Physiotherapy. She is a clinical specialist in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in the area of neck pain, whiplash and headache. Trudy is frequently consulted for her expert or second opinion regarding diagnosis of management of difficult neck pain and headache problems. Among her research accomplishments are co-author of the NH&MRC’s Acute Musculoskeletal pain guidelines as well as the MAA’s whiplash guidelines. Her PhD in whiplash was awarded in 2007.
Trudy is also a lecturer and Discipline Specialist at the University of Sydney, School of Physiotherapy. |

Alison Viner

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Credentialed McKenzie Therapist
Alison is a senior physiotherapist at Bay Active Physiotherapy. She has post graduate qualifications in Manipulative Physiotherapy, a research Masters Degree and is a credentialed McKenzie Therapist.
The McKenzie approach to managing back and neck problems has consistently been shown to provide better outcomes for pain and function than other treatment approaches.
Alison’s particular area of interest is low back pain. She has 25 years of clinical experience and lectures at the University of Sydney. |

Judith Wittenberg

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiotherapist
Judith has eight years experience working at Prince of Wales Hospital, Concord Hospital and in private practice. She has gained extensive skills in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, core stability retraining using Real Time Ultrasound feedback, hydrotherapy and leading Pilates classes.
She has also worked as a clinical educator for undergraduate physiotherapy students and has recently completed a Masters in Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Bethan Charles-Edwards

Physiotherapist (Special interest in Sports Injuries)
Bethan graduated from the University of Queensland with an interest in sports injuries. She has ten years experience in private practice. Her sporting background, together with a specialist interest in sports physiotherapy, has developed her expertise in managing sports injuries.
Bethan also works closely with plastic surgeons managing post operative recovery. |

Patrick Keating

Manipulative Physiotherapist, Sports Physiotherapist
Patrick has more than 13 years experience in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. He has worked extensively with New Zealand national sporting teams including the swimming team for the world championships and Commonwealth games. He has run his own practice in New Zealand. Patrick has special interest in shoulder and upper limb disorders. |

Simone Barker

Exercise Physiotherapist
Simone has worked extensively with pre and post spinal surgical patients. She has expertise in exercise prescription for chronic low back and neck pain patients, and in the use of Real Time Ultrasound to facilitate appropriate muscle control. Her particular interest is in making exercises functional and specific for the patient. |

Tara Lal

Exercise Physiotherapist
Tara has a double science degree, her first majoring in physiology and the second in physiotherapy. She has been a sports physiotherapist for rugby and softball. She is a qualified fitness instructor and sports trainer. Tara now consults to Bay Active Physio advising on exercise programme content. |

The admin team at Bay Active Physio provides the support support every practice needs to keep ticking over. The day to day operations of running a clinical practice require particular skills. Our team is hand picked for their attention to detail, high level organisation skills and dedication to caring customer service.
From managing the systems, to providing a friendly face at reception or a helpful voice on the end of the phone, our support crew are a vital part of the Bay Active experience.
